Out the Gate: Residential and Commercial Gate Options

Updated: Apr 25

Conyers Fence Company has a multitude of gate installation options to meet your needs. From a small walk gate along a fence line, to estate gates across an entrance to your property, to commercial cantilever gates, we have a solution for you.

Walk Gates

A walk gate is a 4', 5', or 6' gate along a fence line that allows access to your property. They can be made out of whatever material your fence is, such as chain link, wood privacy, wood picket, or ornamental. The gates come with a latching mechanism that is able to be locked with a pad lock.

Drive Gates

A drive gate covers an opening of 10' or more. Double chain link gates can go up to 16', double wood gates can go up to 12', and ornamental goes up to 10'. They consist of a double walk gate that latches in the center. One gate is typically anchored with a drop rod while the other gate holds the latching mechanism. The gates are able to be opened up to allow for a vehicle, trailer, boat, or lawn mower to get through your fence without damage.

Estate Gates

Estate gates are installed across the entrance to a property. There are several options for estate gates, most commonly aluminum ornamental. An estate gate is typically a double swing gate that is operated by an automatic gate operator, such as an LA500 or CSW24UL. Estate gates are often installed with a magnetic locking device in between the two gates to prevent damage to the operator or unauthorized entrance to the property.

Residential Cantilever Gates

Another option for entrance gates is a residential cantilever. These are slide gates that are made of chain link, wood, or ornamental material. The gate can be manual or operated by a CSL24UL operator. Cantilever gates are one and a half times as long as the opening to allow for balance as the gate is opened and closed, so there needs to be enough space for a long gate to open up down an existing fence line on one side of the entrance.

Barrier Gates

Barrier gates are a great option for traffic control. These gates block access to a property with minimal material and ease of function. Gates can easily be locked with a chain system that is welded to the gates or through a cargo latch.

Swing Gates

Swing gates are, as one might think, a set of gates that swing open on a hinge system. They can be configured as a single or double gate and are used in more commercial settings as either a manual gate or in conjunction with an automatic gate operator. Gates are most often made of chain link, but can also be made of wood or ornamental material. Gates can be locked with a pad lock or with a magnetic lock.

Roll Gates

A roll gate is a single or double gate set up on a rolling track system. Each gate has a wheel assembly on which the front of the gate rolls. The gate opens along an existing fence line. The gates either latch to a post or to a second gate, and are easily locked with a pad lock.

Commercial Cantilever Gates

Similarly to the residential grade cantilever gates, these slide gates are often made of chain link. The gate can be manual or operated by a CSL24UL operator. Cantilever gates are one and a half times as long as the opening to allow for balance as the gate is opened and closed, so there needs to be enough space for a long gate to open up down an existing fence line on one side of the entrance. The gates have the option for barbed wire along the top for added security.
